Build Assured Verification

Build Assured Verification provides all the benefits of a Full Verification with the added assurance of a complete build of the application from the source code in a secure, independent location.

The build is solely under the control of NCC Group as an independent third party. On completion of the build, the application is run to ensure key features are present.

A simulation release event scenario is carried out where the licensee contracts with a third party to maintain the source code and that third party then has to install the source code and build the application.

A management summary is provided summarising the build and operational architecture (hardware, operating system, third party products), detailing the time required to undertake each stage of the build process and outlining the technical skills required to build and support the application. This can assist in identifying a suitable third party to take over support and in assessing the likely costs of such support.

Build Assured Verification can be carried out at any time as it uses facilities provided by NCC Group and does not need the software owner to be present, however, access to the software owner throughout the verification is required to answer technical questions.
